Cassandra came to our office to correct her “underbite” (underjet of lower incisors beyond upper incisors).
The cause of Cassandra’s malocclusion was a disproportionately large and asymmetric lower jaw.
To properly align the teeth and bring greater balance to the face, Dr. Wong prescribed orthognathic jaw surgery of the mandible and a customized treatment plan utilizing Invisalign aligners to set up Cassandra’s dentition for ideal occlusion post-surgery.
Cassandra was an excellent patient, wearing aligners as prescribed before and after surgery. Her beautiful smile and face are testaments to the benefit of excellent surgically-involved treatment.

Abby was ten when arriving in our office and presented with upper incisor protrusion and a small lower jaw (mandible) relative to the upper jaw (maxilla).
These factors combined to produce a common pattern, commonly known as “overbite” (excess overjet).
Dr. Wong carefully analyzed Abby’s facial growth pattern and determined that intraoral rubber bands should be used to bring about growth modification, allowing Abby’s teeth to fit together correctly, with stable and attractive alignment.
Abby was an excellent patient, wearing her rubber bands when needed, and the entire treatment was complete—without headgear—in fourteen months!

Miguel arrived in our office with significant dental crowding and protrusion.
After evaluation, Dr. Wong’s mission was to align Miguel’s teeth while achieving healthy positioning of teeth within supporting gums and bone AND a balanced facial aesthetic.
To reach these goals, it was determined that the extraction of four teeth (the upper and lower 1st bicuspids) was advisable given the size of Miguel’s teeth relative to his dental arches and the benefit extraction would have on facial aesthetics—an important consideration when contemplating extraction of permanent teeth.
Due to the mechanical limitations of aligners as a treatment tool, Dr. Wong and Miguel decided upon traditional braces as the quickest and most beneficial treatment method. The result is a healthy and beautiful smile that enhances Miguel’s appearance and increases confidence!

Shannon came to our office to correct a relapse from orthodontic treatment she had received as a teenager.
Dr. Wong employed a fully customized treatment plan utilizing Invisalign aligners to efficiently treat the spacing and root rotation that had developed over the years, giving Shannon the radiant smile she desired!

Cody arrived at our office at age ten with upper incisor protrusion and a small lower jaw, relative to the upper, resulting in an “overbite” (excess overjet).
Like with Abby, Dr. Wong utilized an analysis of facial growth patterns, this time employing orthopedic expansion of the maxilla to bring about lateral development of the dental arches.
The results were ideal, leaving Cody’s occlusion in a Class I relationship and his smile beautiful!

Michael came to us to close upper dental spacing and create a balanced, pleasing smile, which could not be addressed as a child or teen due to the continued growth of his lower jaw.
Michael’s situation was complex, with upper and lower teeth presenting asymmetrically in the jaws, causing his bite to be badly misaligned. The asymmetry of the upper teeth in the jaw also extended to the front teeth, resulting in a right-offset dental midline relative to his facial midline and lower teeth. In addition, the forward position of the lower teeth in the bone was significant enough to cause gingival recession, requiring post-orthodontic gum grafting.
Because of the complexities of Michael’s case, advanced orthodontic aligner techniques developed by Dr. Wong were necessary. These staged, segmental movements, unique to Dr. Wong, significantly improve the efficacy of aligner therapy, allowing cases to be treated with less invasive means and with greater stability and healthy results.

Adam came to our practice for better alignment of his teeth and improved function of his bite, which had only extremely limited contact of upper to lower teeth.
In addition to limited space within his jaws to align teeth, Adam presented with dental issues requiring root canals and fillings. Consultation with Dr. Wong and Adam’s general dentist led him to choose the extraction of two lower bicuspids to facilitate orthodontic alignment that would be consistent with a pleasing facial outcome and to pursue restoration work with his general dentist to address his other pressing issues.
To address the complexities of extraction and alignment, Dr. Wong individualized Adam’s treatment plan, utilizing a combination of limited-period lower clear braces to close extraction spaces, followed by upper and lower Invisalign aligners. This “hybrid” approach provided Adam with the most aesthetically appealing orthodontic appliances for the efficient and successful completion of his case.
Adam’s result was excellent. The appearance, function, and health of his teeth improved significantly.

Chuma, one of many adult patients, arrived in our office with an anterior “openbite” and dental spacing.
Chuma desired to use Invisalign aligners to solve these aesthetic and functional problems, and we’re pleased to say that he came to the right place! Dr. Wong is an expert in manipulating Invisalign aligner shape and tooth-movement sequencing to create extraordinary results that are stable, healthy, and beautiful!
By creating a custom treatment plan unique to Chuma’s presentation, Dr. Wong was able to utilize aligners to intrude posterior teeth and close spaces.
Chum’s case was completed in 14 months without extractions or surgery, and he is very happy with the results!
